Black Friday? More like Black Schmiday

Just don't be that guy. Waking up early to log on and get spending on all that crap that no one really wants anyway. Even worse, you've dragged yourself out of bed to queue outside a less than inspiring department store.

Why not opt for a slower pace of things and leave the madness to our American friends for Black Friday this year. Here's a list of some wonderful partners we think you'd be better off giving your buck and in return, you'll have a darn nice time as well. Now that's what we're about this season.

epiphany cafe, bristol

New kid on the block Epiphany Cafe is nestled in the RWA, Bristol. Alex, who recently travelled with us to Peru, has just put his bespoke coffee from the trip into the hopper so it’s the perfect time to visit. Once you’ve caffeinated and had a cake or two, you can take a stroll around the gallery as well.

cascara, bath

Want to get serious about hiding away? Tuck yourself up in Cascara! They have got their Christmas on, but are still a haven from the bustling streets of Bath. We struggle to leave any time of the year.

Get the added bonus of feeling virtuous whilst avoiding the London madness of Black Friday in one of the Deliciously Ella Delis. Each unique space is a warm and inviting place to watch the world pass you by. Perfect!

Gloucester Cathedral

Really escape the hustle today with a visit to Gloucester Cathedral. A real feast for the eyes and the ears if you stumble across the Whispering Gallery where a whisper can be heard across the room thanks to its design. Then unwind with a fine cup of coffee.

You could actively leave London this weekend and head to Koho. As their website says, grab a coffee and get cosy. You might even bump into this guy.

The Field Kitchen, holt

Chapter 72, London

If you absolutely must join in with Black Friday, then swing by Chapter 72. These guys are selling some pretty great speciality coffee for Β£1.50 a pop all day long. Rumour has it they’re supplied by a kick-ass roastery and you’ll get served by one of these sultry baristas!

If you want to enjoy your coffee at home today, then here’s a little recommendation. Go for our Strong Man Espresso. After all, we donate Β£1 from every kilo sold to the awesome Movember Foundation. That way you can spend a few quid, but know you’ve contributed to something really great.
