A different kind of deal this weekend


Thanks to you, we made black friday a little brighter!

Last year we ditched the deals and donated £1 for every bag of coffee you bought on Black Friday to our Grounds Up community projects.

Because of your support, we could buy tablets for Hotel School students to use in their classrooms. Access to tablets creates a more inclusive and flexible learning environment and helps with digital inclusion for those who have no access to the internet because of homelessness or insecure housing.

The money raised for Empire Fighting Chance was enough to help 7 vulnerable young people to develop key life skills through their 20-week boxing and mentoring programme.

This year, we’re inviting you to do the same again and opt-out by ditching those deals centred around hyper-consumerism.

For every order we get over Black Friday weekend 2019 (that’s Friday 30th November to Sunday 2nd December) we’ll donate £1 to our Grounds Up partners.

We believe in selling incredible coffee at a fair price

Our coffee is ethically sourced, roasted by hand and crafted with passion and care. Care for the environment, for the farmers, for baristas.

Our prices are reflective of the hours spent growing, picking, processing, restoring, roasting, sampling and perfecting our craft.

Slashing these with Black Friday mega-deals feels like an injustice to all the people in our supply chain who work so hard to produce something so great. Something we are all incredibly proud of.

Supporting non-profits
Last year, Patagonia encouraged customers to donate to one of the 1,000 environmental nonprofit organizations that they support and matched the donations through its Patagonia Action Works initiative throughout the holiday season.

Last year, Hiut Denim shut down its website for 24 hours in protest of Black Friday stating “…for us, Black Friday feels like a battle to see who can be the cheapest. Lots of people buying things they don’t really need with money they don’t really have.”
