Breakfast at our place for UK Coffee Week

UK Coffee Week launches each year at London Coffee Festival, so once we got back we opened the doors of the roastery to raise funds for the UK Coffee Week charity, Project Waterfall. We had delicious pastries from our pals at Hart's Bakery and plenty of coffee to go with. A big thanks to everyone who came down and helped us raise money for such a worthwhile cause. Read more

London Coffee Festival 2017 round up

The Extract Roastery team headed up the M4 to the London Coffee Festival 2017. We didn't stick to one stand this year and decided to team up with some friends, collaborators and customers and hang out on theirs. In between brewing and pulling shots, we found a bit of time to wonder around and find out what was buzzing this year. Here's a little snippet of what we got up to. Read more

An evening with Boyce Harries: Chania Estate (Kenya)

This month we were fortunate to have a very special guest fly across continents to come and visit little old us at the roastery. Here at Extract Coffee Roasters we put a huge emphasis on the importance of provenance. Knowing where our beans have come from, how they were grown, and learning about the people who have had an input into their journey from crop to cup is as important to us as our responsibility to creating a top-notch product. Millican x Extract: Making Coffee Better

During a chat with the team at Millican, we were asked about our mission; to make coffee better. It's simple enough. But perhaps we don't explain nearly enough how it is that we do this.

So to remedy that, we're partnering up with Millican once again and are asking everyone how they "make coffee better". Share your moments and win an awesome Millican Connoisseur Coffee Kit and a sweet Extract Coffee Roasters t-shirt. Ready more about you how can get involved here. Read more

This guest post comes from the team at Millican about their experience working with us and the motivation to create the new 50th Ascent coffee. Take it away Millican... Read more

Cucumbers & Coffee Chaff

A couple of weeks ago, our green-fingered roaster Sean drove the two of us out to the Alderman Moore allotment. It was a grey, still afternoon. The plots were empty and quiet, except for a black cat who picked his way silently over the vegetable patches. We parked up next to the shuttered allotment shop.... Read more
