Barista Skills is a course for people focussing on the key skills required to further a career in the industry. As these modules progress, participants can expect to gain a deeper understanding of the coffee itself and build upon practical skills for milk technique and latte art, not to mention health and safety, customer service and basic business.
This three-day professional course is aimed at those baristas with considerable experience and who have successfully completed the SCA Barista Skills (Intermediate). It is also recommended that participants have completed the SCA Sensory and Brewing courses (Intermediate level).
Written and practical tests: 80% pass mark required.
Successfully completing this course is worth 25 points towards your SCA Coffee Diploma.
