What is an AV (Auto-Volumetric) espresso machine?
AV stands for Auto Volumetric. This means that the espresso shot is started by the barista, then your Linea PB AV espresso machine automatically pours a pre-programmed amount of water through the grouphead to reach the right amount of coffee that you need. The benefit of this is consistency and barista efficiency.
An AV machine is available as a 2 group and a 3 group espresso machine.
What is an ABR (Auto Brew Ratio) espresso machine?
An ABR espresso machine has scales built in to reach a preferred coffee weight. With the Linea PB ABR espresso machine, the barista starts the shot and the machine automatically stops the shot when the programmed weight is achieved. This is even more accurate than the AV version and the baristas we work with, love it.
An ABR machine is available as a 2 group and a 3 group espresso machine.
