About Cauvery Peak Espresso
We’re so excited to be roasting our favourite Indian espresso as a single-origin coffee. With mouthwatering notes of salted caramel and chocolate brownie, Cauvery Peak espresso is a real crowd pleasing coffee which tastes just as good with alternative, plant based milks as it does with dairy milk.
Indian coffees are still relatively unknown and somewhat underrated in the speciality coffee market. Cauvery Peak is an incredible example of just how good Indian coffee can be. If you've enjoyed a cup of our Original Espresso you've already tried this coffee as part of a three-bean blend, but this your opportunity to try Cauvery Peak as a sweet and chocolatey single origin.
Meet the Grower
Our Co-founder, Dave, travelled to Southern India in 2019 to visit Cauvery Peak and meet owner Ramraj Ramesh. You can read more about his sourcing trip and about our partnership with Cauvery Peak, here.
At 1600m above sea level, Cauvery Peak is one of the highest coffee growing estates in India. Nestled in the Northern Ridge of Shevaroy Hills in the Eastern Ghats, coee shade-grown to promote biodiversity and follow sustainable agricultural methods. The estate produces some of the finest speciality coffee in India. Carefully hand-picked, the coffee is wet processed using a natural fermentation, double washed and sun dried on patios.
Cauvery Peak coffee estate has been in Mr Ramesh’s family for more than 70 years and is known for its incredible environmental practices.
The farm is UTZ certified and photos of the estate are often used by the Government to advertise the bordering nature reserve.
Mr Ramesh has invested heavily in environmental conservation, coee quality and worker welfare for decades. He provides workers with housing, fuel, transport, free education and school milk for their children.
