We searched far and wide for a range of whole-leaf teas made with the same passion, ethical values and artisan craftsmanship that we bring to coffee.

In the end, we decided to make our own.

Extract Tea is ethically sourced from the world’s finest tea gardens. Plucked and processed by hand, then skillfully blended and packed as loose leaf or biodegradable pyramid bags. Even better, cup of Extract Tea supports our GroundsUp charity collective, helping community projects here in the UK.

Our Decaf is a delicious malty blend of teas from Malawi and Sri Lanka and gives maximum flavour without the compromise. Whether you’re avoiding caffeine completely, cutting down, or just looking for a drink to be enjoyed at any time of day (or night!)

The first part of this blend comes from the mid country tea gardens of Kandi, some of the oldest in Sri
Lanka and 400-600m above sea level. Teas grown in this region are renowned for having the body of low grown teas and the delicious complexity of high grow teas and processed by hand using the orthodox method. This delicate China Jat tea from Sri Lanka, handpicked from seedlings; is blended with the rich, malty flavours of the Malawi tea for body.

The tea is a CO2 Decaf. This which means the caffeine is removed by passing high temperature, pressurised CO2 through moistened tea causing caffeine molecules to bond with CO2 molecules, leaving organically decaffeinated tea
leaves behind and no nasty chemicals.
