In 2022 we opened the doors to a new space for Extract in London. Our very own space in Morroco Street, Bermondsey.
For the 2022 Inner Strength campaign we raised an incredible £10k for our community partners.
In the midst of the global pandemic the Extract team donated 30,000 cups of coffee to NHS keyworkers.

In Spring 2019 we launched a limited edition coffee called Kickflip and ran a deck amnesty, collecting 200 skateboards to send to young skaters in Ethiopia.
In 2018 we opened our first London space as part of the Sustainable Bankside Community, a co-working space for some of the UK's most sustainable businesses
In 2017 we started running barista training sessions as part of the Hotel School programme. From here, we went on to develop our Grounds Up charity collective, using coffee as a force for good across the UK.
After a four year renovation, our 120kg Probat roaster, Bertha, is in service. The machine runs more efficiently than when new and is fitted with an afterburner to ensure cleaner air for our community.
In 2015 we added two new ethically sourced coffees to our hero range. Cast Iron from Monte Rosa in Guatemala and Organic from Liquidambar in Honduras. Both farms we still work with today.
After outgrowing a garden shed and a chicken shed, we find a new roastery in Bristol. Roastery Works. It's a mess and take a lot of work to fix, but it's ours.
In 2012 we found Bertha, a decommissioned roaster in Bosnia. We bought her back and slowly started to bring her back to life.
With Betty's restoration now complete we're able to roast more coffee than ever before! In 2011 we create our first house espresso. Extract Original. We're still roasting this delicious coffee today.
Business is booming and our first roaster, James, just wasn't enough. Then we find Betty, a 1955 vintage roaster in need of restoration.
We outgrow our garden shed and upgrade to a nearby chicken shed and Lee joins as a business owner.
We buy a coffee cart and start serving coffee at the bottom of Park Street, Bristol, earning some superfans along the way.
David, Marc and Samantha start Extract Coffee Roasters with coffee roasted on James, our first ever roaster.
