WHAT MAKES LYNWOOD & CO UNIQUE?
Lynwood & Co was founded in 2015 by Aussie’s Rob & Kats Broadbent who had vision of providing quality coffee in The Cotswolds (particularly in the smaller market towns which had nothing other than tea rooms serving scones and tea). Our mantra is ‘coffee, bread, happiness’. All 3 are equally important in what makes us unique and the leading Cotswold brand when it comes to the care we take in every cup of coffee.
WHAT DOES COFFEE | BREAD | HAPPINESS MEAN TO YOU?
Obviously as an antipodean, coffee is part of my DNA and sourcing a great flat white when I first arrived in the UK led me to opening my own cafe. It’s a constant reminder of what is important to us every day! It stems from the importance of the ‘Aussie customer service’, friendly but not too informal. Relaxed but not intrusive.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT WORKING WITH EXTRACT?
Our relationship spans over 8 years. During that time, we have built a great friendship and respect for an amazing product they roast for us.
WHAT VALUE DOES GREAT COFFEE ADD TO YOUR BUSINESS?
It’s one of our 3 pillars of strength (coffee, bread, happiness) and one of the biggest drivers of our reputation as the Cotswolds leading coffee establishment.

Head down and consolidation of our current sites with a focus on wholesale production.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE THINKING ABOUT STARTING THEIR OWN BUSINESS?
Make sure you have a solid business plan and take advice on the many extra ‘hidden costs’ particularly in Hospitality.
ASIDE FROM YOUR OWN BUSINESS, WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE SPOT TO GRAB A BITE TO EAT OR A COFFEE?
We are big fans of Baz & Fred, who operate some very successful pubs as well as a great little cafe in Bibury.
