In the shadows of the mighty Mt Kenya, Kathangariri has developed a reputation for producing some of the best quality coffees in Kenya. This bright-washed espresso celebrates everything we love about washed Kenyan coffees, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

This particular community lot is from the Muramuki Farmers Cooperative in Embu County.
Kenya’s processing techniques are world-class. After harvesting, the ripe cherries are brought to the washing station which is where the coffee is sorted, pulped and washed before being dried on raised beds.
The resulting coffee has bright blackcurrant acidity with notes of dark chocolate and honey sweetness. If washed Kenyan coffees are your thing, this is one you’re going to love.
Like many farmers in Kenya, the growers contributing to this coffee are smallholders producing only small amounts of (incredible quality) coffee. Community washing stations and cooperatives like Muramuki are vital for farmers to access bigger export markets and sell their coffee.

CHOOSE YOUR GRIND, SIZE AND FREQUENCY
Tell us if you would like your coffee as whole beans, or ground for espresso, filter or cafetiere, and the quantity (250g or 1kg bags) and how often you’d like a delivery.
The coffee changes monthly, so if you choose weekly deliveries, you’ll receive the same espresso coffee for that month. The benefit of weekly delivery is that your coffee is freshly roasted when it arrives.
TRY A NEW SINGLE-ORIGIN FILTER COFFEE EVERY MONTH
We select three single-origin coffees for you to try every season, choosing coffees from different countries, with different processes and roast profiles. It's a great way to experience a variety of light to medium roast coffees and discover just how different each coffee can taste.
