About Extract Tea Citrus Rooibos herbal infusion
In South Africa, Rooibos is known as Red Bush (Extract Coffee Roasters founders Samantha and David were brought up on it!). It's naturally caffeine-free and is used in herbal medicine for its healing properties. The Rooibos included in our organic herbal infusion tea, Citrus Rooibos, grows at 650m above sea level on the Bergendal Estate; it is one of the few plants to thrive in the stony barren land of the Western Cape in South Africa.
Leaves are picked and cut before undergoing a natural fermentation. Finally, they are spread out and dried in the African sun to give the tea it's famous ruby-red colour. We blended these organic Rooibos with lemongrass, marigold bloom petals and citrus oils to create a rich, sweet-tasting, citrus rooibos delicious for any time of day or night.
How to brew the perfect Citrus Rooibos tea
- Weigh out 2.5-3g loose tea (or one teabag)
- Pour over 250ml hot water at 100 degrees
- Brew for one minute
- Enjoy!
More about Extract Tea
We searched far and wide for a range of whole-leaf teas made with the same passion, ethical values and artisan craftsmanship that we bring to coffee. In the end, we decided to make our own.
Extract Tea is ethically sourced from the world's finest tea gardens. Plucked and processed by hand, then skilfully blended and packed as loose leaf or biodegradable pyramid bags. Even better, every cup of Extract Tea supports our GroundsUp charity collective, helping community projects here in the UK.
