The 7th Duchess of Bedford is widely credited with popularising afternoon tea in the UK in the 1840s. She always used to complain of a sinking feeling in the afternoon, so she started enjoying tea with bread or cake around 4pm. This quickly became a social occasion and a ritual known as ‘afternoon tea’.
Our Afternoon Tea is an exquisite, second flush Darjeeling, exclusive to Extract Tea. It’s Full-bodied and a gloriously rich amber colour tea with light floral notes.
HOW TO BREW
- Add one tea bag to a cup
- Pour over 250ml hot water at 95-100°C
- Brew for three to five minutes
- Enjoy!
