Our delicious breakfast blend is fast to brew with bold & smooth flavours and a rich coppery hue – everything you could hope for from a breakfast brew.
It's a blend of two teas, the first from the Rutsiro Tea Garden in Rwanda. Rutsiro grows wholly organic tea. The tea garden provides a year-round income to more than 2000 Rutegroc cooperative members and their dependents. It also provides transport, healthcare and free childcare for workers and their families. Workers have access to healthcare and free childcare.
The second component for this wonderful tea comes from the Tonganagon Tea Garden in Assam, India. The tea garden had fallen into a state of disrepair but has been transformed by new owners Chamong and is now regarded as one of the world's finest organic tea gardens.
Chamong provides a secure income for communities living on the estate and has built a hospital, schools and places of worship for the people living here. The tea used in Extract Breakfast is from Tonganagaon's 2nd flush crop. It is rich with golden tips, which has earned this tea the grade: Golden Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe 1 (GFBOP1), which is the highest available!
HOW TO BREW
- Add one tea bag to a cup
- Pour over 250ml hot water at 100°C
- Brew for three to four minutes
- Enjoy!
