What is an AV (Auto-Volumetric) espresso machine?
AV stands for Auto Volumetric. This means that the espresso shot is started by the barista, and that the KB90 AV espresso machine automatically pours a pre-programmed amount of water through the grouphead to reach the right amount of coffee that you need.
What is an ABR (Auto Brew Ratio) espresso machine?
An ABR KB90 machine is an auto volumetric machine with scales built in to reach a preferred coffee weight. With an ABR KB90 espresso machine, the barista starts the shot and the espresso machine automatically stops the shot when the programmed weight is achieved.
