We’re looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead our day-to-day finance function and keep everything running accurately, consistently and on time.

This is a practical, operational role responsible for overseeing core finance functions, managing a small team and ensuring our financial data is reliable and well controlled.

You’ll own the numbers from month-end and reporting through to stock and cost control; providing clear, structured insight that supports the business to run well. You’ll work closely with teams across production, logistics and sales, ensuring financial processes are understood, applied consistently, and trusted.

What you’ll do

  • Run a clean, consistent month-end, delivering accurate management accounts
  • Oversee AP, AR, banking and reconciliations, ensuring everything is completed on time
  • Manage and support a small finance team (circa 3 people)
  • Maintain strong financial controls, processes and audit trails
  • Monitor and manage debtors and payment runs
  • Ensure VAT returns and compliance are accurate and on time
  • Produce clear, structured reporting, highlighting risks and variances
  • Keep financial data accurate, consistent and reliable across platforms & systems
  • Oversee stock and cost accounting across green coffee, production and finished goods
  • Ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Review stock reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Support stocktakes and maintain alignment between physical and financial stock
  • What we're looking for

  • Experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant or similar role
  • Strong hands-on experience across month-end, reporting, AP/AR and reconciliations
  • Experience managing or overseeing a transactional finance team
  • Confident working with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar)
  • Experience in a stock-led, manufacturing or product-based business
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and reliable
  • Clear communicator who works well across teams
  • AAT qualified, CIMA/ACCA qualified or part qualified

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
