ARE YOU EXTRACT COFFEE ROASTERS' NEW ROASTERY OPERATOR?
Extract Coffee Roasters is looking for a new Roastery Operator to join the roastery team in Bristol, UK.
If you are passionate about coffee, looking to take the next step in your coffee career, and like the sound of being part of one of the best teams in the coffee industry, we want to hear from you.
MORE ABOUT THE ROASTERY OPERATOR ROLE
We are looking for someone with coffee-warehouse and roasting experience and a passion for coffee. We need a hard worker who can get stuck in and support their team and will have some decent contributions to the roastery playlist.
Daily duties include working across both roasting and packing teams.
You’ll roast a selection of coffees and work with packing equipment to create finished goods. Working hours for this role are in rotating shift patterns and will include some early mornings and later finishes.
You will roast coffee on vintage Probat drum roasters that have been rebuilt and restored by the Extract team. The coffee you roast will be served in some of the UK's most iconic cafes, hotels and restaurants and in homes and offices nationwide.
Extract has a reputation for extremely high quality standards. We expect you to maintain these standards across production roasts through sensory evaluation, quality checks and data logging. So, meticulous attention to detail is a must.
Health and Safety is a top priority on the roastery floor. You need to work safely and responsibly with care for the team around you. Part of your role will be contributing to Risk Assessments and SOP’s for the site and all equipment. To do this, you'll need to be a clear communicator, a proactive thinker and be organised and methodical in your work.
We have an open-plan roastery, so the roastery floor is always on display and it is common to see customers in the roastery for meetings and training. With this in mind, you should be tidy and ready to welcome customers into the roastery at all times.
MORE ABOUT LIFE AT EXTRACT COFFEE ROASTERS

Behind roastery doors, we are an eclectic mix of cyclists, runners, musicians, growers, bakers, bookworms, parents, artists, activists and allies. We care about things like fairness, listening, learning and helping others.
