Extraordinary growing conditions, diverse heirloom varietals and a coffee culture woven deep into the nation's DNA all come together in this washed filter coffee. The profile is crystal clear, celebrating the terroir of Yigracheffe’s Gedeo Zone.
At the heart of this coffee is the Danche Washing Station, established in 2019 by coffee pioneer Nigusse Debela. Tucked into the hills of Gedeb, this 4 hectare hub works with smallholder farmers from surrounding kebeles (neighbourhoods), turning bright red cherries into coffee that truly shines.
Nigusse manages five washing stations across the region, but Danche is his masterpiece. With 250 raised beds and meticulous washed processing, every stage is carried out with precision and accuracy, resulting in clarity and precision in the cup.
It’s a team effort, Nigusse and the local community pour passion into every harvest. All of that care comes together in a coffee that is lively, bold and full of flavour notes of Peach, Jasmine & Honeydew
