INNER STRENGTH IS BACK!

Inner Strength, our limited edition Winter espresso, has returned! This year, it features a coffee from Aricha Village in Ethiopia, a coffee-growing community recognised globally for producing some of the world's most sought-after crop.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Grown between 1900-2100 meters above sea level, this altitude offers unique microclimates, contributing to the coffee's unique flavour notes. This year, Inner Strength is bursting with yuzu, grilled peach and marzipan when enjoyed without milk. Or drink with milk and you’ll sip a slice of delicious lemon cheesecake, perfect for those slower winter mornings.

Once grown, the coffee cherries are picked by a dedicated community of 800 farmers and then transported to a local washing station. Here, it gets hand-sorted, selecting only the perfectly ripe cherries to move to the floating tank. All cherries are added to a large tank to further separate healthy cherries. Low-density, imperfect coffee floats and is removed, whilst healthy, dense beans sink to the bottom. Next up, the cherries are depulped and fermented for 100 hours, with fresh cold water changed every 24 hours to ensure optimal mucilage removal, followed by drying for 15 days.

Aricha Village is famous for producing high-quality speciality coffee, with most of the farmers being smallholders who own less than a hectare of land. The village is a perfect example of a quintessential Ethiopian coffee village, combining traditional production methods with exceptional terroir.
