New coffee spots to check out

by

IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE WE DID A SHOUT OUT

So here it is! Some of the exciting new openings that have got us pumped and you really need to go and check out, we're not kidding.

KUPP, OXFORD

These guys are bringing their morning Fika to Oxford...and lunch and dinner. As well as great coffee and delicious pastries they have a whole range of fresh, seasonal dishes on their menu throughout the day and into the evening.

THAMES LIDO, READING

The amazing team that has given us the Bristol Lido have set their sights on an Edwardian Ladies Swimming Baths in Reading. After a careful and loving restoration and modernisation, they have bought it back to life. We're especially excited to see the menu for the restaurant which will bring their Bristol Lido style cuisine to Reading.

JAMAICA STREET STORES, Bristol

A little closer to the roastery is Jamaica Street Stores who are serving a seasonal selection of modern, produce-focused, innovative food and drink. The restaurant is modern, light and airy and their plant collection is just to die for.

REDCATCH COMMUNITY GARDEN, BRISTOL

The Redcatch Community Garden is a place for their local community to come together and learn about growing fresh, healthy food, while providing produce for the project's shop and café. You can get involved any time or just stop by for a great coffee.

If you're listening to BBC Radio Bristol this morning, listen out for an interview with Jaxx, one of our volunteers working in Roots Cafe.

The Toast Office, Whitley

If you are out Wiltshire way, then a trip to Whitley might be in order. It's a new village shop, post office and tea room but it's all about those cakes and a coffee!

Knead Pizza, Plymouth

Knead Pizza keep things simple with 5 sourdough pizzas, 5 homemade dips, 5 craft beers and damn fine coffee in Plymouth's indoor market. We're loving the satisfying double entendre as well, so pleasing.

Looking forward to seeing you all for some 🍕tomorrow. It’s going to be a cracker!! Pizzas kick off from 11am!

Cafe Jackalope, Bristol

Albeit new, CafeJackloupe is already part of the furniture in its corner of Bristol. They have a passion for great coffee matched by a range of great cakes and snacks all from as many local suppliers as possible. There's plenty of cosy corners and a cute garden to hang out in as well.

Hobbs House, Gloucester Rd & North St, Bristol

It's been a bit of a homecoming for the Hobbs family as they now have 2 bakeries back where it all began! Both of these great, airy spaces are serving up espresso on Sanremo Cafe Racers no less and the range of baked goods is irresistible.

And we are open, thanks @joncraig_ for the great photo. Looking forward to joining in @lovegloucesterroad street party tomorrow
