Café Picon Bière
Looking for a refreshing drink to enjoy in the sun?
Our wonderful Regional Manager, Harrison has created this fruity Café Picon Bière. Not too strong with plenty of zesty fruit notes. Perfect for sunny afternoons.
INGREDIENTS
For this recipe, we're pairing Amer Picon Bière, a French bitter-orange aperitif with a pale ale from Wiper and True, one of our all-time favourite breweries.
- 35ml Amer Picon Bière
- 50ml filter coffee (brewed hot, then chilled)
- 100ml Wiper and True Kaleidoscope Pale Ale
- Ice
CHOOSING YOUR COFFEE
When choosing your coffee, we recommend using one with vibrant fruit notes. Luis Anibal Calderon and Kathangariri Filter are both excellent choices.
We brewed our coffee using a V60 method with 30g coffee per 500ml water. You can find our V60 brew guide on our blog, Behind Roastery Doors.
METHOD
Now, let's get to the fun part - making the drink!
Simply stir 35ml Amer Picon Bière and 50ml chilled filter coffee with some ice.
Then, strain the mixture into a short tumbler over ice and top it off with 100ml Wiper and True Kaleidoscope Pale Ale.
For an extra touch of flavour and decoration, garnish with a twist of orange peel.
Easy peasy orange squeezy!
Voila! You've just made the perfect drink for a sunny weekend.
