We're stoked to announce that the Strong Man is coming back to town as our autumnal espresso, and he's promising a show like never before.
This year our Strong Man Espresso takes us to Southern Honduras and to the farm of Santos Guevara Lopez. And as always we'll be raising funds and awareness for our long term charity partner; the Movember Foundation. Read more
This month we were fortunate to have a very special guest fly across continents to come and visit little old us at the roastery. Here at Extract Coffee Roasters we put a huge emphasis on the importance of provenance. Knowing where our beans have come from, how they were grown, and learning about the people who have had an input into their journey from crop to cup is as important to us as our responsibility to creating a top-notch product. The lot is produced by the Musasa Dukunde Washing Station, one of the highest mills in Rwanda at a staggering 2020 metres above sea level. Here, coffee cherries are centrally processed from neighbouring small holders. Most of whom have seen their income from coffee at least double since the proliferation of this style of processing.... Last Wednesday we hosted our first Extract Cinema Club. We lined the walls of our bunker with fairy lights, dragged the comfy sofas in and covered the floor with a huge pile of cushions and blankets. Last Wednesday we were lucky enough to be invited to the Movember 2015 Launch Party.
