This nifty little bit of kit is one of the most underrated brew methods out there.
We love making coffee with the Clever Dripper. It's super consistent, allowing you to control the different variables of your brew and easily replicate winning recipes. In terms of flavour it gives you the delicacy and finesse of a V60, with the body of a cafetiere. Wonderful.
It's also really simple to use, low-faff and easy to clean (win!) Simply rinse your filter paper, add your coffee, top with water, give it a quick stir and brew.
How to make coffee using a Clever Dripper
Our recommended brew recipe for the Clever Dripper is:
- 30g medium ground coffee
- 500ml hot filtered water
- Give it a quick stir to make sure all the grounds are saturated
- Brew for 3 and a half minutes
- Then drop, serve and enjoy!
Of course experimenting is actively encouraged. Feel free to try different grinds, brew times and doses to create a brew recipe perfectly suited to your individual preference.
We like using the Clever Dripper to brew tasty single-origin filter coffees which are best enjoyed black.
If you enjoy coffees with a splash of milk, try a medium roast espresso and increasing the dose.
