A clean machine makes tastier espresso. Here's a quick refresh on how to clean our machine at the end of service.
Scrub the shower screen with a brush while running the water.
Remove the basket from the portafilter and swap in a “blank” disc (the metal disk with no holes in it).
Insert the portafilter, press the freeflow water button and leave to run for 10 seconds.
Turn off the water, empty out the portafilter & repeat twice.
Remove the blank disc from the portafilter. Clean the basket & portafilter with a cleaning brush and clean microfibre cloth.
Reassemble the portafilter and the basket, then return the portafilter to the machine to heat up before using again.
Start by following steps 1-3 above for cleaning during service.
Add 1 scoop of espresso machine cleaner to a blank disc in a portafilter. Insert the portafilter into the group head.
Press the freeflow button and allow water to run for 10 seconds then turn off.
Repeat 4 times, or activate the cleaning cycle if your machine has one.
Remove the portafilter & scrub the grouphead with the brush.
Rinse the portafilter then reinsert the portafilter into the grouphead.
Press the freeflow button & allow to run for 10 seconds then turn off.

Add 2 scoops of espresso machine cleaner to boiling water.
Submerge only the metal parts of the portafilters and baskets, soak for 5 mins then remove, scrub and rinse clean.
Return the clean portafilters to the groupheads ready to be used in the morning.
