You might have noticed that we've been trialling some different shipping options at checkout over the past few weeks. There have been a few changes, so we wanted to share an explanation into some of the changes we've made and why.
We've always offered free shipping on all coffee. Something many roasters don't offer. But we were determined to offer a free shipping option with no minimum spend.
As the costs of shipping, packaging, and coffee have all been steadily rising, we made the choice to move our free shipping to Royal Mail 2nd Class and to introduce the option for customers to upgrade their shipping at checkout.
We've trialled a number of options for upgraded shipping. Different courier companies, different Royal Mail packages.
In the middle of a nationwide shortage of delivery drivers, this hasn't been easy.
We've learned that no delivery partner is perfect. That some are more imperfect than others.
We want to give all of our customers transparency over how we're sending your coffee, when it should arrive and clear, fairly priced choices at checkout.
We've now committed to offering the following options:
- Royal Mail 2nd Class: Free
- Royal Mail Tracked 48h: £2.50 or Free when you spend over £20
- Royal Mail Tracked: 24h: £5.40
Whilst we've been testing out different methods, some customers have experienced delays or complained of lack of clarity over when and how their coffee will arrive. We're sorry for this and would like to say a huge thank you everyone who has been in touch to let us know when delivery partners weren't up to scratch. Thanks to you, we've been able to make changes for the better.
