The Buku washing station is nestled at 2,350 metres, a remarkable height contributing to this filter coffee’s unique characteristics.

After hand-picking, the ripe coffee cherries are carefully sorted at the washing station before being sun-dried on raised beds. This traditional drying process ensures even moisture levels and enhances the coffee’s natural sweetness and complexity. After the cherries have dried, the coffee is hand-sorted to ensure only the highest-quality beans are prepared for export.

This particular filter coffee has been produced in collaboration with SNAP speciality coffee, a trusted partner of the washing station working to connect Ethiopia’s coffee heritage with the global stage.

SNAP’s efforts, combined with the expertise of local farmers, bring out the best of West Guji’s high-altitude terroir, resulting in a distinct, naturally processed coffee with a refined and memorable profile.
