Daylesford Organic

Daylesford Farm Shop

Organic September seemed like the perfect invitation to visit our friends over at Daylesford Organic Farm in Gloucestershire. It’s one of the most sustainable Organic farms in the UK with 5 simple principles at it’s core:

Daylesford Table

Daylesford Ham

The Farm Shop stocks 100% organic produce and most of it from the farm itself. Obviously the meat and poultry is reared on the farm, fruit and vegetables are walked over from their market garden, bread from their on site bakery, and cheese, milk and yoghurt from the creamery.

A short wander from the farm shop you’ll find the cafe, serving up the best of their produce. Just down the bright airy corridor is a workshop and their cookery school. Here you can learn how to get the best of all their ingredients from butchery courses to breadmaking and everything in between.

If relaxing is more your cup of tea, there’s the Haybarn Spa looking out over the apple orchard.

We opted to head outside to see the farm itself and it’s residents.

After taking in the farm, eating heritage tomatoes from the vine in the polytunnels and gazing at their beautiful cutting garden we settled for a delicious pizza. We even found another fire to warm in front of before heading back to the roastery.

Daylesford will be celebrating their annual Harvest Festival on the farm on 23 September. It’s a great way to celebrate the variety of autumnal fare available at this time of year and #ChooseOrganic for September. Rumour has it the coffee will be great.
