A delicious filter coffee from an all-out amazing farm.

Farm owner, Jorge Vides, ensures the La Bolsa adheres to the highest environmental and social practices. La Bolsa is Rainforest Alliance Certified and has protected areas to promote biodiversity, reduce wind exposure and soil erosion.

Jorge also provides all temporary and permanent staff with access to schooling for their children. A successful food ration scheme incentivises workers to send their children to school. As a result, no children are working on the farm, and local school and nursery classes are full.

Sat between two mountains, the humid microclimate and limestone-rich soil on La Bolsa gives this coffee its delicious flavour. Ripe cherries are handpicked then fermented in tanks for 18-24 hours. The coffee is then pulped to remove the skins & mucilage, graded in channels and soaked overnight.

The resulting coffee has a sweet, syrupy body and floral notes of honeysuckle. We’ve opted for a slightly lighter roast best suited to a filter brew method such as a pour-over or cafetiere.
